5 Simple Tips to Prepare for Your Gymnastics Competition

 

Follow these 5 simple tips to help you do your best at your upcoming gymnastics competition!

Peak Performance

Get a good night's sleep. It is important to be well-rested so that you can perform your best. Eat breakfast, even if you do not feel hungry! You will need the energy throughout the day.

Pack Your Gym Bag

Spend a few minutes the night before your competition gathering all of your attire and gear. You don't want to forget your grip bag!

Visualize

Practice your routine in your head! The more you visualize, the less likely it is that something will go wrong. Visualization can help your body feel ready and increase confidence.

Meet Day Routine

Whether you have a specific visualization technique or warm-up routine that you like to follow, try to have a meet-day routine for each competition to make you feel comfortable. Don't forget to grab your good luck charm!

Arrive Early

Arriving early at your competition can help put your mind at ease. Remember, to arrive early is to be on time!
